Ability to accept terms and conditions

If a user subscribes to the Healthscreen website (hereafter the service), they will be agreeing to abide by all the terms and conditions contained in this statement. Healthscreen reserves the right to update the terms, conditions and features of the service without any prior intimation to its registered users and subscribers. Nevertheless, we will post such changes online.

Healthscreen website

Healthscreen may change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, including the availability of any of the features, databases or content. Healthscreen may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict user access to parts or all of the services without any prior notice or liability.

Copyright and copyright infringement 

The service is intended exclusively for personal and non-commercial use. All materials published on the service, including but not limited to articles, photographs, images, illustrations and audio and video clips, are protected by national and international copyright laws and owned/controlled by Healthscreen and Thyrocare. Users shall abide by all additional copyright notices, information and/or restrictions contained in any content accessed through the service. Users may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create new works from, distribute, perform, display or in any way exploit any of the content or the service in part or as a whole.

Use of website and services

Copying or storing of any content for other than personal use is strongly prohibited without prior written permission from Healthscreen or the copyright holder identified in the copyright notice contained in the content.

The user agrees to report any copyright violation and infringement concerning the content supplied by Healthscreen as soon as they become aware of them. If a user has a claim of copyright violation regarding the material contained in the service, please bring this to our notice at once. Users shall not upload, distribute or publish any libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive or otherwise illegal material regarding Healthscreen and its content. Healthscreen otherwise will have to take an action in violation of copyright or trademark laws.

Users represent warrant, and covenant 1) that no materials of any kind submitted through the user account will (i) violate or plagiarise the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights or (ii) contain libelous or otherwise unlawful material; and 2) you hereby indemnify, defend and hold harmless Healthscreen and all officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers, affiliates, licensors and licensees (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) associated with Healthscreen from and against any and all liability and costs. Healthscreen reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you.

Liability

Healthscreen does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or other information displayed, uploaded or distributed through the Service by any user, information provider or any other person or entity. Users acknowledge that any reliance upon any such opinion, advice, statement or information shall be at your sole risk. The service is distributed on an as-it-is basis without warranties for any specific purpose. The user hereby acknowledges that use of the services is at their sole risk.

Unsubscription

For the Healthscreen website that requires registration, users may terminate their account at any time by sending an e-mail to the service. Upon termination, the user’s access will be suspended within 48 hours. Healthscreen may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend a user’s access to all or part of the service for any reason, including but not limited to the breach of this agreement.

Potential changes in the website services

Healthscreen reserves the right at any time to charge fees for access to the service in part or as a whole. However, users will not be charged to access the service unless we obtain the user’s prior agreement to pay such charges. Thus, if at any time Healthscreen requires a fee for portions of the service that are now free we will give you advance notice of such fees and the opportunity to cancel the account before such charges are imposed. Users shall pay all fees and charges incurred through their account at the rates in effect for the billing period in which such fees and charges are incurred, including charges for any products or services offered for sale through the service or by any other vendor or service providers. All fees and charges shall be billed to and paid for by the user. The user shall pay all applicable taxes relating to the use of the service through their account.
